Léopold 7

THE LEOPOLD 7 BREWERY In 2013, Nicolas Declercq and Tanguy van der Eecken embarked on the adventure of recreating a brewery in the imposing Marsinne castle-farm in the Hesbane village of Couthuin. Right from the start, beyond the passion for malt and hops, the project has a sustainable dimension. A brewery, yes, but fair, responsible and equitable! Léopold 7 ? Little known fact, a brewery already existed on the farm site in the middle of the 19th century. Legend has it (confirmed by old documents found in dusty trunks) that it was run by a certain Leopold. That was all it took to name the product and create a bridge between tradition and modernity. As for the number 7, it's crystal clear! Our beers are made up of 7 ingredients: three types of grain (two malts and one wheat), three types of hops (two aromatic and one bitter). We call the 7th ingredient the Leopold touch: an atypical aromatic bouquet that characterises our beers. Today is tomorrow! In 2020, Nicolas Declercq remains the only pioneer member, but the Leopold 7 team has grown over the years with three young brewers, two salesmen and a new manager, all of whom are passionate about the brewery. With this shared passion, we are committed to creating new, modern, artisanal beers that are new to the market, but that are faithful to the Léopold 7 values of the past: 100% artisanal production, local roots and sustainable values at each stage of the development of our beers, which are all brewed on site. These new creations, released in premium 100% recyclable aluminium cans, can be enjoyed in the atmosphere of your choice!
