Like brown sugar, blond sugar is partially refined. It still contains a little molasses which gives it its special colour, taste and aroma. Its vanilla flavour is particularly suitable for pies, muffins and other sweet cakes. To add crunch to your cakes or pies, sprinkle it on them a few minutes before the end of cooking. More simply, use it to add flavour to your pancakes or fruit salads. Blonde sugar has approximately the same sweetening power as white sugar, so you can use the same amount in your recipes.
